VISUAL ARTS AND CRAFT STRATEGY FUNDING

The Australian, State and Territory Governments require that recipients of Funds under the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy prominently feature visible recognition of the Strategy’s support in all materials, publications and programs related to the Funding. This acknowledgment will be placed to properly reflect the new funding within the context of other funding and sponsorship.

You are required to acknowledge the support provided by the Australian Government and your State/Territory Government in the following ways:

• The logo must be included in a prominent place on all advertising, promotional and reporting material for your organisation, including, but not limited to, brochures, invitations, posters, advertisements, exhibition programs, websites and annual reports.

The logo can be found in colour and in black and white in tif, eps and jpeg formats on the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts website at http://www.dcita.gov.au/VACS.html. The logo must not be adapted or compromised in any way.

• All media releases put on by recipients of Funds under the Strategy should include the following text: The [Recipient] is supported by the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy, an initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments.

• All exhibition programs should contain the above message in a prominent place and include the Strategy logo. Where it is not possible for the logo and message to both be included, recipients must contact the Corporate Communications team in the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts on (02) 6271 1252 to discuss an appropriate form of acknowledgment.

• It is also appropriate to acknowledge the contribution made by the Strategy in other promotional contexts, such as opening night speeches, media interviews, etc.

It is important to note that your acknowledgment of Strategy funding will not replace or preclude the existing acknowledgment requirements of the Australia Council and/or your State arts agency.

Allow a minimum margin of 5mm from all edges as indicated at minimum dimension specified.

All clearances are indicated at minimum logo reproduction size and must remain proportionate if the logo is enlarged.

Acknowledgements must not reproduce smaller than 5pt and not exceed 7pt.

An organisation must place their name in the relevant position of the acknowledgement line as indicated within [ ].

The acknowledgement/s in relation to the logo/s can be positioned above or below depending on space and or layout contraints.

The type size and position of the logo should be equivalent to that of other sponsors or donors who have provided similar levels of support.

Typefaces and typesetting guidelines can be found under Type Usage and Colour Usage.

An organisation will not make any other use of Arts NSW’s logo without the prior written consent of Arts NSW which may be granted or refused in Arts NSW’s absolute discretion.
