Conditions

Works nominated must have been first published, produced or performed between 10 March 2007 and 7 March 2008.

These awards are offered annually to honour distinguished achievement in history by Australians. There are six categories, each worth $15,000: the Australian History Prize; the General History Prize; the Community and Regional History Prize; the Young People’s History Prize; the Audio/Visual History Prize; and the John and Patricia Ward History Prize for Use of Archives in Writing History.

The closing date for nominations is 14 March 2008.
