Asialink Residency Program

Closing Date: Friday, 5 September 2008

Arts NSW, in conjunction with the Asialink Centre, continues to fund residencies in Asia for artists, writers and arts managers.

Grants of up to $12,000 are offered to enable Australians to undertake three to four month residencies in Asia with a host organisation. Residencies are professional development opportunities for Australians to promote cultural understanding, information exchange and artistic endeavour between Australia and Asian countries.

Residencies are offered in the following areas:
•  arts management
•  literature
•  performing arts
•  visual arts/crafts.


Criteria for selection include:
•  professional experience
•  standard of work as shown through support material
•  relevance of the residency for future professional goals
•  ability to carry out the residency and fulfil expectations
•  potential to apply outcomes of the residency in Australia
•  previous experience working in, or commitment to working with, Asia .

Residencies are open to all Australian citizens, or those with permanent residency status in Australia , who have at least three years professional experience in their field.

Important: Applications must be postmarked no later than the closing date.
