Support for festivals
Arts NSW does not normally fund the organisational aspects of festivals. Applications for professional arts components of festivals will be considered if they meet the guidelines of a particular Cultural Grants Program. To ensure eligibility, applicants should discuss their intended activity with the relevant Cultural Grant’s program manager before submitting an application.
Tourism NSW offers support for festivals and events through the New South Wales Regional Flagship Events Program (RFEP). The RFEP seeks to identify and assist those events which support and contribute to the unique identity of the tourism regions of the State, and which demonstrate potential to act as ‘flagships’ for those regions.

Festivals Australia, managed by the Australian Government's Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts , also provides funding to regional and community festivals for arts-based projects which enhance the festival’s cultural program.

Support for regional arts activities
The Commonwealth Regional Arts Fund provides support for regional residencies, mentorships and partnerships. The New South Wales program is administered by Regional Arts NSW.
Regional Arts NSW also administers a Quick Turnaround Grants Program, PROP UPS (grants for performance initiatives), and the Country Arts Support Program.
