The Cultural Ministers Council has published a step by step guide to assist agencies to assess the economic value, tourism impact and benefit of cultural tourism in their region.

In 2005 an evaluation was undertaken of the Western Sydney Arts Strategy and a report on its findings, The Arts in Western Sydney – 2006 Progress Report on the NSW Ministry for the Arts Western Sydney Arts Strategy, was published.

In 2007, Arts NSW commissioned the Australia Street Company to research and prepare an audience development strategy for Western Sydney, with a particular brief to investigate opportunities to develop culturally and linguistically diverse audiences for the arts
