As part of Arts NSW's commitment to working with the arts and cultural sector on future policy directions, an Issues Paper has been developed to contribute to discussion on the directions of the Arts Funding Program beyond 2009.

The Issues Paper was developed following feedback on the 2009 Arts Funding Program. The feedback collated by Arts NSW included:

  • The results of a survey of 2009 Arts Funding Program applicants and non-applicants (December 2008)
  • The results of a survey of 2009 Arts Funding Program assessment panel members (December 2008)
  • The results of a survey of Arts NSW staff on the 2009 Arts Funding Program (December 2008)
  • Advice from assessment panel chairs (December 2008)
  • Comments provided directly to Arts NSW by Arts Funding Program applicants during January and February 2009.
  • Direct consultation with peak arts organisations.

The Issues Paper is now available for download HERE. The directions set out in the paper will inform the Arts Funding Program for 2010.

Arts NSW welcomes comments from the across the arts and cultural sector on the directions outlined in the Paper. Any comments should be emailed to Arts NSW at artsfunding@arts.nsw.gov.au by 3 April 2009.
