The NSW Government is committed to growing a vibrant, safe and diverse night-time economy (NTE) to enhance Sydney’s standing as a global city, and making the city a safe and great place to live, work and visit.

An estimated 610,000 people come into the city every day to work, shop, eat, visit attractions or be entertained.

Arts NSW is leading a Taskforce to implement the NSW Government Response to the Sydney Night-Time-Economy Roundtable Actions. There will be a focus on improving safety and the diversity of arts and cultural offerings, including hospitality and retail, and promoting cultural and behavioural change.

In response to the statutory review of liquor reforms, lockout laws will be relaxed for live entertainment venues in Sydney’s CBD and Kings Cross. Further information on the lockout and last drinks laws can be found on the Liquor and Gaming NSW website at:
