Arts NSW has engaged a consultant to undertake an environmental scan of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) artists, arts workers and projects in NSW.
The aim of the consultancy is to develop an understanding of the current strengths of culturally and linguistically diverse arts practice within NSW and the opportunities that it may present for future arts policy development.
The project aims to:
- Identify culturally diverse artists, arts workers and projects in NSW, at both community and professional level;
- Map where these artists are working in terms of arts sectors, communities and geographic areas; and
- Identify what organisations and networks are supporting this work through funding, advice, resources, training, development etc.
The project is being undertaken by Mr Kim Hanna of Much Ado Pty Ltd. Mr Hanna will consult with key organisations, networks and individual artists.
