The Strategy and Policy branch is responsible for developing strategy and policy that fosters a strong arts and cultural environment. In particular we identify distinct needs and opportunities for developing a stronger arts and cultural sector and increasing creative activity in NSW.
Our work includes consultation and research on priorities identified by government and the sector, development and review of our funding programs, effective management of the Arts NSW property portfolio and the creation of partnerships and initiatives across government agencies.
We work collaboratively with the funding programs branch of Arts NSW to ensure that strategies are evidence-based and effectively delivered through the funding bodies. We also work with the NSW Cultural Institutions, the Australia Council and federal, state and territory arts departments, local government and other NSW Government departments and agencies.
