The NSW Government-appointed industry-led Creative Industries Taskforce is developing a 10-year Creative Industries Action Plan for NSW.

The creative industries will be a driver of growth, exports, productivity, innovation and competitiveness for our economy over the next decade. The sector is also a critical enabler of improved performance across other industries.

The Taskforce brings together expertise from a broad range of creative industries fields including film and television, fashion, publishing, the built environment, advertising, design and the performing arts.

A Creative Industries Think Tank was held in June 2012 as part of Vivid Sydney. See Have Your Say to read:

• the Think Tank discussion starter and

• the Think Tank report.

Further details about the Taskforce, the terms of reference and other background material are available here.

The Creative Industries Action Plan is one of a number of Industry Action Plans in development including Professional Services, Digital Economy, Manufacturing, International Education and Research and the Visitor Economy.
