The Arts Exchange
A major upgrade to the six storey heritage Arts Exchange building at The Rocks has created an operations hub for not-for-profit arts organisations including Sydney’s major festivals and arts organisations.
The building now features individual tenancies and shared meeting rooms and workspaces. Co-location and clustering of like organisations in hubs and precincts is a core principle of the NSW Government’s approach to cultural infrastructure; allowing a sharing of resources and volunteers, new efficiencies, innovation and new creative opportunities.
This exciting project delivers on key principles within Create in NSW: The NSW Arts and Cultural Policy Framework to revitalise our cultural infrastructure and promote innovation, collaboration, business sustainability and robust networks.
Office space for rent
One small office space (37 sqms, suitable for 5-6 staff) is currently vacant. Arts NSW is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) to lease the space. To be eligible to apply, arts and cultural organisations need be legally constituted, and be one of the following:
- a not-for-profit incorporated body
- a co-operative or trust.
Details of the premises, rent level and selection criteria are outlined in the EOI information package which can be downloaded here.
Respondents must read this information package and undertake a site visit to discuss requirements prior to submitting an EOI.
The premises are being offered under Arts NSW’s Infrastructure Support Policy. This Program provides key arts and cultural organisations with subsidised accommodation in eight properties within and around the Sydney CBD in order to support program delivery.
EOIs need to be submitted through the online form in Smarty Grants before 5pm on 20 October 2015.
No late EOIs will be accepted.
